Men In Tutus 9/05, Sunway Resort Performance 26/05

You see this is the poster for Men In Tutus. Cool isn't it? Can you imagine, men wearing Tutus on pointe? =) Bunch of students and teachers of Centrestage went to KL Pac for this show! It was like a School Trip haha!!

Bev, Wan Jing, Chay Yueh, Tze Sin+Boyfriend and Chooi Yen. With the booklet of Men In Tutus

I personally like him or should I say "her" alot. She's gorgeous isn't she? Curtis Foley a.k.a Eva Lynn Hard in show.

Students of Centrestage posed together for photo session. You really have to widen your eyes to spot the performers among all the ladies!
We were the biggest group!!

That's all for Men In Tutus!
It is a very very nice show! Anyone who missed it that day, grab tickets fast! They'll be here till the 17th of May! You wouldn't want to miss it!
~~~
Flash back to 26th of May.
My apologies for such delay.
We went to Sunway Resort for a opening ceremony performance.
It's the Silat Girls
vs.
The Long Fan Girls!
Well, one of the most important aspect in dance is timing. Every dancers should know that!
We had alot of problems with the countings of this particular dance.
But however, all of our timing was perfect that day! How happy huh!! =D
I bet the readers here saw alot of these photos already huh? haha!!
Yea, we had been repeating this dance over and over again for the past few months.
Sunday, April 5
Performance in Sunway Pyramid
Howdy, dancers and everyone else!
It's 5th of April and dancers represnting Centrestage rocked the stage in Sunway Pyramid!
There were total 3 performances by us. The first dance is the opening ceremony danced by all big "jie jie"s - Fan Dance, second one - Little Chair by the small "mei mei"s and last but not least is the Chinese Dance - Shou Juan by the bigger "mei mei"s. Well you see, they the big ones big jie jie and the small ones mei mei. So it's slighty easier for me right? So I'm one of the big jie jie! :)
I believe everyone knows the first we'll do before the actual performance is... Rehearsal.
We had been rehearsing for this show for weeks.
These are the Chinese dance girls rehearsing on stage.
OH, It's time to prepare!
Big jie jies do not only perform during performance but we are also responsible for helping out looking after the kids and help them to prepare.
See the importance of big jie jies?
** Hehe **
Now here are the Big Jie Jies I was talking about!
From left:
C.Kei, W.Jing, C.Yueh, Amy, Bev -writer for this post, and not to forget our very own T.Sin.
We were the first to perform and the upcoming one was the little girls.
I'll call them the "Teddy Girls". They have this very cute teddy pin on their clothes.
Can you see that in this pic?
See the chairs? Yea they dance with the chairs!
Way to go!
Last one was the chinese dance performed by the "not-so-little-girls"
I love their outfit!
Striking enough ae?
They were awesome!
It was all about working that cloths in their hands which they call them "Shou Juan".
Seriously I tried to work it but I failed. So they must have put in lots of efforts to practice and get the technique right!
Well, ...
After the performance the Jie Jies went to change in the ladies but in the end we decided to take pictures of ourselves. This is only one of the pics we took. We took like "trillions" of photo with stupid yet adorable looks and expressions!
You might know this guy from Astro or some other Singaporean and Malaysian Mandarin movies.
I'm not sure about the spelling but what I got is his name as Lam Tak Weng.
He was the host of the whole event. And oh by the way, it was some slimming programme competition. There were girls looking beautiful there after slimming down. And they were working on the stage to the Champion!
